Amanda is a Chartered Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience supporting organisations and individuals. She has previously practised as a consultant to the Cabinet Office, designing and evaluating selection methodologies for all levels from clerical staff to Government Agency Chief Executives.
Her portfolio of clients includes those operating in the fields of professional services, central and investment banking, finance and the pubic sector. Several of Amanda’s clients operate in a multinational or global arena.
She has extensive expertise in the design and delivery of personal, interpersonal and career development programmes designed for participants from all levels within organisations from entry level to senior management. Examples of projects include the design and implementation of a global development centre for graduate trainees in an investment bank and acting as an expert observer on a development workshop for economists in a national institution.
Amanda’s extensive experience of coaching has included managers at all levels of organisations. Often her coaching clients have been from other cultures and nationalities and she enjoys the extra dimension that such assignments include.
Amanda’s team coaching assignments, whether a one-off intervention or part of a wider organisational change initiative, have helped numerous teams to align and commit to their business’ vision, strategy and values.
In the area of selection, Amanda maintains an expert profile, with projects including the design of an assessment centre for graduate economists and a structured interview process for lawyers in a global law firm. Amanda also has a particular interest in competency profiling.
Examples include developing frameworks for fee-earning staff in a global engineering consultancy, for the top 100 leaders of a Japanese/European manufacturing organisation, an organisation-wide framework for a national institution and for the professional service roles across a global law firm, the latter being made the subject of a Harvard Business Review Case Study.
