Choosing the right coach for you
A coaching chemistry session is an opportunity for you to meet with one of our coaching team and discuss your coaching requirements.
It’s a free, no-commitment conversation where you can get answers to all your coaching questions, find out more about our approach, and gauge whether we’re the coaching provider for you.
Likewise, we get to find out more about you and your coaching aims. We get to understand more about your context and whether coaching is the ideal way we can support you. Essentially, the conversation helps you to make a decision as to whether the coach is a good fit for your particular coaching needs.

What happens during a chemistry session?
Despite the technical name, it’s really a simple conversation to find out more about coaching.
For you, the prospective coachee, it’s an opportunity to learn more about coaching and how it might help you attain your goals. You’ll have the opportunity to ask all your questions about coaching, from the practicalities and logistics, through to understanding more about the coach and their methods.
The coach will provide you with an overview of what coaching is – so we’re on the same page – and ask you to tell them a little bit about yourself and why you’re interested in working with a coach at this point in time. Don’t worry – there are no wrong answers to their questions. They’re just keen to learn as much about your needs as possible. They’ll also ask you what questions you have about the process and whether you’d like to know more about them as a practitioner.
You can of course follow up with additional questions via email after the call has ended. And, once you’ve made a decision to work with us, or someone else, you can simply drop us an email to let us know.
Who should book a chemistry session?
Coaching chemistry sessions are available to anyone who is actively considering coaching. We advise people to speak with at least a couple of coaches, so they can compare and contrast and get a better feel for what they’re looking for.
Preparing for your chemistry session
While the chemistry session isn’t an exam or an assessment, you may find it useful to prepare – so you get as much out of the experience as possible.
- Make some written notes in advance and don't rely on your memory
- Note why you'd like to work with a coach now
- Consider what your ideal outcomes from coaching are
- Think about what you've tried before considering coaching
