Professional and evidence-based
Our training courses bring the science of workplace psychology to life, providing attendees with
the concepts and skills that they can put into practice immediately. Regardless of the topic or
duration, we provide an interactive and impactful experience for employees
What is workplace psychology training?
Our training solutions are designed to meet the learning needs of groups at all organisational levels. Where a team or seniority-based cohort share a development need, training is an impactful and cost-effective solution.
Our courses are designed to impart knowledge, root the contents in the organisation’s context and give participants an opportunity to practice their new skills. Workplace psychology training covers the topics and skills not covered in traditional skills-based training, support professionals’ performance, effectiveness and wellbeing at work.
What topics can be covered?
All our training is centred around our three core themes of wellbeing, productivity and effectiveness at work. We work within our professional experience and domain knowledge. This includes topics like:
- Prioritisation
- Goal-setting
- Difficult conversations
- Coaching skills
- Psychological flexibility
- Coping and self-care
We can also develop bespoke training courses based on your organisational needs.
Who is the training for?
We can provide training for employees at all levels in the organisation and have extensive experience working with graduates, ‘high potential’ cohorts, middle managers and leadership teams. We root the training experience in the participants’ context and adjust delivery to suit the audience and their specific needs.
In the last few years, we have:
- Trained leadership teams how to cultivate psychological safety
- Trained managers in how to bring compassion to life at work

- Trained professional services leaders in how to have impactful conversations

Richard listened to our brief intently and got the material spot on. We wanted a talk that went deeper into the science whilst keeping a clear everyday application. Richard has a skill of talking to a large audience in a very personal, individual way, this has been my highlight of our speaker series so far!

Richard and his team developed four, high-quality and interactive workshops for the programme. These covered a range of practical topics helping employees develop their self-awareness and hone their management skills. The workshops were supported by one-to-one coaching sessions with the delegates, who seemed to get great value from these. The feedback we’ve had internally highlights the benefits the team have had from the programme already. We have also seen some great improvements among the delegates across a range of skills and behaviours. We are extremely pleased with the programme and its impact so far and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richard and WorkLifePsych to businesses looking for a bespoke and expert people development solution. They have exceeded our expectations.

We retained WorkLifePsych to design and deliver workshops on essential coaching skills to the delegates on our “Inspire” leadership development programme. Richard worked closely with us to identify our requirements and ensured that he reflected our company’s culture in the final version of the workshop. I would have no hesitation in recommending WorkLifePsych as a provider of coaching skills and development interventions more generally and I look forward to working with Richard again.
