WorkLifePsych helps individuals, teams and organisations improve how they work through evidence-based coaching, training and development programmes. We support people to build healthier habits, manage pressure, work more effectively with others and make sustainable progress at work.
We're a team of accredited and experienced workplace psychologist who help clients develop and maintain their wellbeing, productivity and effectiveness at work. We do this by providing quality and evidence-based coaching, training and development programmes.
As coaching psychologists, we bring our understanding of workplace psychology - how people think, feel and behave at work - and combine it with impactful coaching skills to bring about the valued changes our clients look for.
We deliver impactful and evidence-based training courses to equip our clients with the skills they need to navigate the contemporary workplace, to support their wellbeing, their productivity and their interpersonal effectiveness.
We design and deliver high quality development programmes for graduates, managers and organisational leaders, to build self-awareness, contextual awareness and interpersonal effectiveness.
Helping professionals cope sustainably with pressure and stress, respond with resilience to setbacks and challenges and invest in their own wellbeing.
Helping professionals to focus on what matters, minimise distractions and procrastination and invest their time, attention and energy where it matters most.
Helping professionals develop the skills and personal qualities that boost performance, goal attainment and interpersonal relationships at work.
We work with individuals, teams and organisations globally, across sectors and industries. We've coached CEOs and leadership teams, developed high potential cohorts, supported graduates in their first career steps and equipped managers with the essential skills and personal qualities to lead teams.
Our approach is to develop people from a whole person perspective, acknowledging that they have lives outside the workplace, multiple roles within their lives and strengths and development areas across all these areas. Three principles set us apart:
We believe in the importance of personalised development. This means ensuring all our clients have an experience that emphasises what they, as an individual professional, can take away and put into practice immediately, taking account of their role, their skills and their personality.
We believe that organisations should be offering high-quality development for all, not just the arbitrary few. We subscribe to a broad, inclusive definition of ‘talent’ and believe that quality, challenging and relevant development is as important for the newly-arrived graduate trainee as it is for the C-suite executive.
The workplace is a veritable breeding ground for fads and fashions when it comes to learning and development. We empathise, but also emphasise the application of the science of psychology. By using evidence-based methods, we avoid falling into the trap of fashions that have no demonstrable impact.
By bringing the science of psychology to life in the workplace, we use the high quality scientific evidence that demonstrates what works. No gimmicks, no fads. We translate the concepts and frameworks into accessible and impactful tools for our clients. And the evidence is very clear: by using the science, we can boost employee wellbeing, productivity and effectiveness at work.
As every client and organisation is unique, we bring the science to life with a sensitivity to their context. And yet, some things help employees in every organisation, including:
Participating in the Psychological Flexibility training programme was such a rewarding experience for our team. It offered practical tools and techniques that really helped us increase focus, manage stress better, and respond to challenges more effectively. The content was clear, relatable, and immediately applicable, and working with Richard was a pleasure. He is approachable, supportive, and great at guiding reflection. Every session felt collaborative and engaging, leaving our team with valuable insights we could all put into practice right away. The training programme model was truly a great help. Having that kind of accessibility and flexibility meant support was there exactly when needed.
“Thriving with Psychological Flexibility is a great programme. It helped me understand practical tools I could use to respond well to challenges in life and be my best self more often. It’s really well delivered and combines evidence based practice and theory with simple, actionable take-aways and endearing facilitators – much recommended”
We retained WorkLifePsych to design and deliver workshops on essential coaching skills to the delegates on our “Inspire” leadership development programme. Richard worked closely with us to identify our requirements and ensured that he reflected our company’s culture in the final version of the workshop. Having observed the delivery of one of the workshops, I would say that Richard’s style engaged and challenged the delegates. He responded well to all their questions and provided feedback and support throughout the various practical components of the workshop. He delivered a workshop that met our needs perfectly.I would have no hesitation in recommending WorkLifePsych as a provider of coaching skills and development interventions more generally and I look forward to working with Richard again.
Richard listened to our brief intently and got the material spot on. We wanted a talk that went deeper into the science whilst keeping a clear everyday application. Richard has a skill of talking to a large audience in a very personal, individual way, this has been my highlight of our speaker series so far!
Richard and his team developed four, high-quality and interactive workshops for the programme. These covered a range of practical topics helping employees develop their self-awareness and hone their management skills. The workshops were supported by one-to-one coaching sessions with the delegates, who seemed to get great value from these. The feedback we’ve had internally highlights the benefits the team have had from the programme already. We have also seen some great improvements among the delegates across a range of skills and behaviours. We are extremely pleased with the programme and its impact so far and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richard and WorkLifePsych to businesses looking for a bespoke and expert people development solution. They have exceeded our expectations.
Richard and the WorkLifePsych team have been an absolute joy to work with and have delivered a massively impactful session on mental health and wellbeing for our team, focusing on dealing with challenging situations.
