Ep 176: Workplace wellbeing – the power of difficult questions
What does it mean to be evidence-based when it comes to wellbeing at work? How do we know what works when it comes to wellbeing interventions? And does doing ‘something’ always beat doing nothing?
In this episode, Richard is joined by James Carrier for a chat about the benefits of being more evidence-based when it comes to wellbeing and the importance of asking difficult questions. So much workplace wellbeing effort is put behind superficial, temporary or well-intentioned but faddish activities. All while the very fundamentals of good work are neglected.
We look at the impact of being evidence-based when considering wellbeing interventions, the importance of good job design and looking after the essentials, and the benefits of asking the difficult, but fruitful, questions like: what’s the problem you’re trying to solve?
Thanks for listening!
