Introducing Bite-sized Learning

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought untold disruption to our daily lives. For millions of people, this has meant trying to work at home, a state of affairs that isn’t going to change any time soon. Even with the reopening of workplaces, there will almost certainly be a large proportion of the workforce at home at any time.

One of the challenges associated with this kind of upheaval is ensuring employees can continue their professional learning and development. It’s no secret that training is one of the first budgets to get slashed when times are tough!

Introducing Bite-sized Learning

We wanted to address both of these points and give organisations a simple way to continue training their employees. So we’ve launched our new ‘Bite-sized Learning’ proposition: a suite of ninety-minute sessions covering a wide range of wellbeing, productivity and effectiveness topics. Sessions are impactful, practical and interactive. Additionally, we make a recording of each session available to the organisation, so attendees can revisit the contents to help them put it into practice.

Example of our new courses include ‘Coping with a Crisis’, ‘Resilience Essentials’, and ‘Managing Difficult Conversations’. While each session works as a standalone webinar, they can of course be organised into a programme of sessions to cover a key organisational topic, such as wellbeing or management skills.

Insight and practical application

Employees can join the session from wherever they’re located and will finish with a greater insight to the key concepts, as well as concrete action they can take to put it all into practice. We emphasises practical next steps and cover how to develop new helpful habits in each session.

Client feedback

We’ve run several of the sessions already and the client feedback has been great! Here’s what some clients have had to say:

“Given the challenging context we’re all living through at the moment, I asked Richard to run one of his webinars. The session was insightful, evidence-based, engaging and interactive. We learnt how the skills of psychological flexibility can be put into practice in our everyday lives and how they impact our wellbeing and resilience. I’d have no hesitation in recommending Richard and the WorkLifePsych team when it comes to workplace wellbeing events” – Ed Ling, Chief Growth and Operations Officer, MediaCom.

“Richard’s talk was insightful, informative and gave me that a-ha moment! Richard listened to our brief for his talks intently and got the material spot on. We wanted a talk that went deeper into the science whilst keeping a clear everyday application. Richard has a skill of talking to a large audience in a very personal, individual way, this has been my highlight of our speaker series so far!” – Katie Beales, Senior Learning & Development Specialist, BCG Digital Ventures.
