Later this month, I’ll be participating in the ‘Thrive in the City‘ initiative in London. So what is Thrive in the City?

‘Thrive in the City’ is a free programme of events celebrating Mental Health in the City on 27 November 2017 throughout the whole day. There are over 1,300 free spaces available to all workers and residents to attend sessions that support every aspect of your mental wellbeing ranging from inspiring talks and workshops to mental health first aid training, tai chi and massage.

My contribution will be to run two free ‘Psychological Flexibility 101‘ workshops for delegates in Canary Wharf and the City of London on November 27th. You can book a free place on the Canary Wharf event (starting at 10:00am and kindly hosted by Thomsen Reuters) here and places for the 2:30pm session in the City, hosted by Legal & General are available here.

And don’t worry – there’s a host of other topics, workshops and speakers available – and all completely free. We just ask that you provide feedback about the event so that the Thrive In the City initiative can continue to meet the wellbeing and mental health needs of employees in London.

My workshops will give attendees an introduction to the concept of Psychological Flexibility, how it contributes to mental health and general wellbeing, and the introduction to the skills that anyone can learn to improve their own psychological flexibility. Additionally, everyone attending will get a copy of my new guide to developing psychological flexibility.

If you’ve been listening to our podcast, ‘My Pocket Psych’, recently, you’ll know that we’ve been discussing this concept in some detail. If not, why not?! You can stream recent episodes from here.
