I’m delighted to be speaking at an event in Dublin later this month, all about building resilience in executives.
Hosted by Michelle O’Connor, the workshop on the evening of October 25th is all about the pressures and challenges faced by senior leaders. I’ll be proposing the skills of psychological flexibility as one way of dealing with these scenarios. The pressures of dealing with change, with people, with work-life balance and with setbacks and disappointments – these can all mount up and take a toll on our wellbeing.
Some of us cope with these challenges in ways that are less healthy or sustainable. These will eventually impact our psychological and physical wellbeing. Some of us get stuck in unhelpful thinking patterns, which then lead to unhelpful behavioural patterns. This can impact our success in the workplace. Some of us avoid imagined difficulties, taking the ‘safe path’ and thus missing out on valuable (if tough!) life experiences.
I’ll be discussing how to develop Psychological Flexibility, how to nurture and develop it in your team and make it key to success in your organisation.
There are still some places available, so if you’d like to know more, click this link to get a rundown of what’s covered, as well as the event logistics.
We’ll be meeting in the very lovely Westbury Hotel, just off Grafton Street – so it’s perfectly suited for people to pop by after work. Finally, a big thanks to Michelle for the invitation to speak at her event. It will be lovely to be home in Dublin again!
